The History of Life Church
Life Church, formerly known as Glad Tidings, began in 1936 as a result of a six-month Pentecostal revival in East St. Louis. In the years that followed, the church grew under the leadership of several different pastors. During these years, it relocated several times, eventually moving to its present location in October, 1991.
Life Church did not evolve overnight, but has developed through the years by many families and individuals that, with the help of God, have sacrificed willingly for the sake of the Gospel. Now we stand on the threshold of new dimensions in Christ, thankful for our past, but looking with great anticipation and vision for our future. You’re invited to join us in writing this new chapter for Jesus.
